North Carolina

North Carolina
We arrived in Newport, North Carolina on November 5, 2013 and stayed at Goose Creek RV Resort which didn't have a lot of RV spaces because it was 95% permanents, but, since there were only a handful of RV's, there was more than enough room for all of us!

Beaufort, pronounced 'Bo-fert' (long 'o') in North Carolina, was settled in 1709 and is now the state's third largest city.  It was an active seaport and became a place where Blackbeard would go to resupply his pirate ship and relax, undisturbed by government officials.

This massive tree had ferns growing all over it!  I don't think I've ever seen anything like it.

Morehead City

Strange name for a restaurant and fish market but it's supposed to be good!

My next installment will be published shortly.  I really need to get caught up since we've been in Florida a month already!
