WALT DISNEY WORLD
I was so excited to see this bus because our grandkids, Isabella (7) and Stephen (5), were on it, along with our daughter, Diana, and son-in-law, Robert. They were spending a week here in Florida at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort. Weather-wise, it turned out to be a fantastic week, not too hot, not to cold and especially not rainy. And, having them here made it even better!
I never thought much about the size of Disney World compared to Disneyland in California but one week is hardly enough to see it all without exhausting oneself. I only went to three parks plus Downtown Disney and that was tiring enough. I must say I was a bit disappointed because there weren't a lot of Christmas decorations or even a Christmas parade and it was less than three weeks until Christmas. But, it was still fun.

As you can see, Isabella was wearing her Mickey Mouse gloves, so later in the day while watching a parade, when Isabella waved to Anastasia and Drizella, they remembered her and came over and talked to her. I was impressed they remembered and Isabella was so excited!

Diana missed Hollywood Studios because of a case of the 24-hour flu so I had the 'pleasure?' of taking Isabella on the plunge down The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror! After getting off the ride, I realized it wasn't really that bad, it was the anticipation of dropping 13 floors. But, I also heard that it is a lot "tamer" than the one at Disneyland in California, so I don't think I'll be going on that one anytime soon!
Hotel Hollywood could use a little cleaning!

The week had passed quickly and Hollywood Studios was our last day together so the plan was to have a barbecue at our RV park so Lee could see everyone and we could say good-bye. Poor Diana was still sick so she stayed at the hotel and Robert, Isabella, and Stephen came over for dinner. Lee had passed on the opportunity of spending more than one day at Disney so after dinner he treated everyone to ice cream at Twistee Treat on the way back to the hotel. Twistee Treat, which we first discovered in Pennsylvania, probably has the best ice cream I've ever tasted. Fortunately, Diana felt better for their flight home early the next morning and neither Lee nor I got the flu.
Stay tuned. There's more to Florida!!
